Radiowaves are a radio-surgical method for the removal of changes on skin or mucous membranes.
The passage of high-frequency waves through the tissue minimally affects the surrounding skin structure (significantly less than the surgical scalpel) and it works completely on the desired field.
The intervention lasts extremely short (usually a few seconds) without or with minimal bleeding.
Pain during intervention is minimal and patients most often describe it as a burning in the treated region.
The technique of removing skin changes by radiowaves is suitable for removing the keratosis, warts, capillaries on the face. The radiowave method does not remove the changes with base wider than 1 cm, unless they are completely on the surface (eg, seborrheic keratosis).
After treatment with radiowaves, dry scabs are formed at the intervention spot. The healing process lasts from a few days to two weeks depending on which change has been treated.
After intervention there are minimal or no scars at all. When scab falls, the skin on the treated field becomes slightly brighter in the next month. It is a normal healing process and during the time color will equalize with the surrounding skin.
