What is a Chemical peel?
Chemical peel is a medical-aesthetic procedure which uses certain chemical substances, mostly acid, for controlled removing (peeling) layers of the skin and stimulating its renewal. Depending on how deep peel "peels" the skin, there are 3 types of peels: SURFACE, MEDIUM DEEP and DEEP chemical peels.
What skin changes are true indications for chemical peel?
- Acne
- Shallower wrinkles around the eyes
- Deep wrinkles around the eyes and mouth
- Solar lentigo: small circular spots mostly on hands and face
- Melazma: higher surfaces spots with irregular shape
- Stretch marks, acne scars
